People To People Exchanges
Global
Youth Forum
Approximately 250 students from
the United States and other countries, including those with signficant Muslim
populations, convened in Washington, D.C. November 7-11, 2003 for PTPI’s
annual Global Youth Forum. Students attended educational speakers, visited
the White House and Capitol Hill, participated in a live video-conference
with students in Sri Lanka, participated in a Night of a Thousand Dinners
event, and organized and packed educational materials to be transported to
Sri Lanka as part of a PTPI’s humanitarian effort to help schools and
students in Sri Lanka who are affected by landmines.
Peace
Camps
Greetings
from Cairo,
Our names are Stephanie E. Tellis and Simone Wright and we are writing from
People to People International's Peace Camp. Peace is a very important idea
in our world. Without peace people suffer from needless pain and heart ache.
PTPI's mention is to bring people from different countries together therefore
combining different cultures to help unite our ever smaller world. We want to
encourage your organization to keep fighting for justice, equality, freedom
from war, happiness, and understanding, Thank you.
Sincerely, Stephanie & Simone
